Sri Lanka, Nov. 1 -- Jaffna District Member of Parliament (MP) Ramanathan Archchuna has stated that he travelled to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Switzerland, to provide testimony regarding several alleged injustices he faced.
The MP confirmed that he is currently in Geneva and is providing evidence to the relevant IPU committee.
His complaint focuses on the violation of his parliamentary privileges, including being allegedly denied permission to speak for 77 days by the current Speaker of Parliament and the alleged deactivation of his microphone during sessions.
In addition, the MP also provided testimony on several other issues he views as privilege violations.
