Srilanka, Nov. 12 -- The government shows no willingness to appoint a Vice-Chancellor, even though the strike demanding a permanent Vice-Chancellor for Rajarata University entered its 13th day today, according to the President of the Rajarata University Teachers' Association, Professor Nalaka Geekiyanage.

Due to this continuous strike, academic activities, research work, training, and examinations at the university are reported to be completely stalled. Professor Geekiyanage stated that although the Minister of Education promised to resolve this issue very quickly during a discussion on November 04, there has been no response from the government yet.
