Srilanka, Nov. 14 -- A developing low-level atmospheric disturbance is present to the east of the island.
The Department of Meteorology states that because of this, the ongoing rain in the Northern and Eastern provinces is expected to continue.
Rain or thundershowers are possible at times in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Hambantota District.
In other areas of the island, rain or thundershowers may occur after 1:00 PM today (14).
Furthermore, fairly heavy rainfall, exceeding 75mm, is possible at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva provinces, along with the Ampara and Batticaloa districts.
