Sri Lanka, Feb. 13 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts that showers may occur periodically in the Central, Uva, and Eastern provinces, as well as the Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts. Certain locations within the Uva province and the Ampara, Batticaloa, Nuwara-Eliya, Matale, and Polonnaruwa districts anticipate fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 50 mm.

The Northern province and the Anuradhapura district experience several spells of rain. Elsewhere, showers or thundershowers develop in various places after 2:00 p.m., with the Sabaragamuwa province and the Kalutara, Galle, and Matara districts likely seeing heavy falls above 50 mm.
