Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- The Railway Department has decided to discontinue the third class reserved seating facility on several train journeys.

The department announced that this change will take effect on six train journeys starting from the 10th of next month.

Accordingly, third class reserved seating will be removed from the trains departing Colombo Fort Railway Station to Badulla at 5:55 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. daily, as well as the train departing from Talaimannar at 3:45 p.m.

Railways General Manager Dhammika Jayasundara stated that the decision was made to accommodate more passengers.
