SriLanka, Nov. 6 -- Four restraining orders against four entities reportedly involved in selling fake merchandise featuring the company's registered trademarks were obtained by the global sportswear brand PUMA SE from the Commercial High Court of Colombo.

The civil case began when PUMA SE, represented by Sudath Perera Associates, allegedly filed against the four entities under Sri Lanka's Intellectual Property Act No. 36 of 2003.

The defendants were reportedly selling footwear that unlawfully used the "PUMA" name, the leaping cat logo, and other unique elements that were deceptively similar to the brand's globally recognised trademarks.
