Srilanka, Dec. 1 -- The Public Health Inspectors' Union (PHIU) is urging individuals in areas impacted by floods to be caiutious when using drinking water.
PHIU Secretary Chamil Muthukuda advised residents in flood-hit locations not to consume well-water.
He emphasized that drinking boiled water is crucial due to the significant danger of contracting waterborne diseases like diarrhea, stressing that children should be given only boiled water.
Furthermore, Muthukuda cautioned that the current disaster conditions could lead to the formation of mosquito breeding areas.
