Sri Lanka, March 3 -- The government is urging the public to report Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus drivers who refuse to accommodate school students and passengers traveling with SLTB season tickets by calling the 1958 hotline.
This decision was made during the recent Ministerial Consultative Committee on Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation.
Minister Bimal Ratnayake emphasized that any citizen can report such incidents and assured that strict action will be taken against those responsible. He further stated that SLTB drivers and conductors have been informed about the issue and warned against such misconduct.
