Sri Lanka, March 18 -- Health and Mass Media Minister Nalinda Jayatissa announced that public sector appointments are being made under a structured system.

Speaking at a cabinet media briefing, he revealed that recruitment is ongoing to fill 7,456 vacancies across 10 institutions, including the Human Rights Commission and Provincial Councils.

The Cabinet has approved a total of 15,921 public service vacancies, with essential positions to be filled based on Treasury capabilities.
