Sri Lanka, April 27 -- The public exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic is set to end at 5.30 pm today (27), after ten days.

Governor of the Central Province Prof. Sarath Abeykoon said that more than 500,000 people had venerated the relic over the last nine days.

These crowds have also brought with them a veritable mountain of rubbish, with the Kandy City, as well as the Temple premises, seen to be overflowing with garbage.

Accordingly, the Central Province Governor said that a 'Clean Kandy' project will be launched from tomorrow (28), with support from all state institutions.

In the meantime, war heroes receiving treatment at the Mihindu Seth Medura in Attidiya were given the opportunity to participate exposition.
