Sri Lanka, March 25 -- A man has been protesting by climbing a jackfruit tree near the Dematagoda railway yard. According to reports, he had initially been on the roof of the railway yard following the arrival of an express train from Kandy to Colombo Fort this morning (24).

When railway employees attempted to confront him, they informed railway security officers, who tried to apprehend him. The man then climbed a nearby jackfruit tree and managed to evade capture by moving between branches.

Railway security officers stated that the man has remained on the tree since this morning. Efforts to bring him down are ongoing.
