Sri Lanka, Feb. 17 -- The Malayagam Tamil community, an integral part of the Sri Lankan nation, has faced significant challenges for a long time. Despite these challenges, their livelihoods remain below the standard required for a dignified life. In response to this, a total of Rs. 7,583 million has been allocated to support various initiatives aimed at improving their living conditions:
Rs. 4,267 million allocated for:
Development of estate housing.
Infrastructure development in areas inhabited by the Malayagam Tamil community.
Rs. 2,450 million allocated for:
Vocational training programs.
Livelihood development.
Infrastructure development for Malayagam Tamil youth.
