Sri Lanka, Feb. 13 -- Leader of the Lanka Sama Samaja Party and former Minister Professor Tissa Vitarana passed away at the age of 92. Sources indicate that the former Minister passed away at his residence.

Elected to Parliament on several occasions, he held numerous ministerial portfolios during his career. Professor Tissa Vitarana, who was also a scientist and a writer, was a father of three.
