Sri Lanka, June 25 -- The Department of Prisons has announced immediate transfers for a group of its staff officers, effective from the 2nd of July.

These transfers, approved by the Secretary to the Ministry of Justice and National Integration, aim to streamline the administrative and institutional operations of the Prisons Department.

The transfers are based on the officers' seniority and service requirements.

The affected personnel include 2 Superintendents of Prisons in the Special Grade, 1 Acting Superintendent of Prisons, 8 Assistant Superintendents, and 5 Acting Assistant Superintendents of Prisons.
