Sri Lanka, Oct. 16 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, who is on a state visit to India, met with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar a short while ago.

Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya departed for New Delhi, India, yesterday (15), marking her first official visit since taking office.

Upon arrival in New Delhi, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Sri Lanka's High Commissioner to India, Mahishini Colonne, along with senior Indian officials and officers of the Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi.

During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and several other senior Indian political leaders, aimed at further strengthening cooperation ...
