Sri Lanka, Sept. 5 -- Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has issued a message for the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, stating that his teachings on social justice, equality, compassion for the oppressed, and the accountability of rulers are more relevant to society now than ever before.

The Prime Minister made these remarks in a congratulatory message released to mark the occasion.
