Sri Lanka, Feb. 28 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, delivering a special statement in Parliament today (28), asserted that the government will not allow terrorism or racism to resurface in the country. He also warned politicians that the era of toppling governments through conspiracies and racial divisions is over.

He stated that if existing laws are insufficient to curb such threats, the government is prepared to replace the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) with a new legal framework. A committee has already been appointed for this purpose.
