Sri Lanka, Sept. 14 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to embark on a two-part overseas visit, starting with a trip to the United States on September 22.

He is scheduled to address the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on the 24th.

Following his visit to the US, the President will travel to Osaka, Japan, on September 27 to attend Expo 2025.

He is also expected to participate in "Sri Lanka Day," an event that will showcase the nation's culture, tourism, trade, and investment potential.

The President's state visit to Japan is due to officially begin on September 28.
