Sri Lanka, May 3 -- President Anura Kumara Disanayake is set to leave the island tonight for his state visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
The President will be in Vietnam from May 4 to 6.
The visit, at the invitation of Vietnamese President Luong Cuong, marks 55 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
During his stay, President Disanayake will hold official discussions with the Vietnamese President and Prime Minister, and meet with senior dignitaries, including the General Secretary of the Communist Party.
He will also be the Chief Guest and deliver the keynote address at the United Nations Day of Vesak ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City.
