Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that Sri Lanka, currently in a probationary period under the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program due to past government mismanagement, has taken initial steps through this year's budget to create a strong economy.
Speaking at the "Post Budget Forum 2025," the President emphasized that the government plans to utilize the three-year grace period secured through debt restructuring to manage the economy effectively and ensure the country's ability to repay debts by 2028.
