Sri Lanka, Sept. 8 -- The President's Fund is preparing to launch a new scholarship program to support the education of children in Sri Lanka whose parents working overseas have passed away, become disabled, or are missing.

The initiative, named "Leaving no one behind in education," will be a joint effort between the President's Fund, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment.

This was announced during a discussion at the Presidential Secretariat led by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath, with Senior Additional Secretary to the President Roshan Gamage also present.
