Sri Lanka, Jan. 16 -- A nation filled with national unity and free from racism will be established, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasised. These remarks were made while attending the Thai Pongal festival organised by the Jaffna Tourism Board at the Manipay, Marutadi, Vinayagar Kovil yesterday afternoon to promote tourism.

Additionally, the 20-megawatt Windscape wind power plant built in the Mannar area was integrated into the national grid yesterday under the President's leadership. The morning also marked the commencement of a 50-megawatt wind power project in the Mannar-Mullikulam area, further expanding the country's renewable energy infrastructure.
