Sri Lanka, May 4 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, during his state visit to Vietnam, met with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, today (4).

A meeting held at the party's Central Committee headquarters focused on enhancing the 55-year diplomatic ties between Sri Lanka and Vietnam, the Presidential Media Division said.

President Dissanayake is currently engaged in a three-day state visit on an invitation extended by his Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.

During the visit, the President will also participate in the 20th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations.
