Sri Lanka, Aug. 28 -- During a pre-budget meeting for 2026, Sri Lanka's President Anura Kumara Dissanayake told private sector exporters that while the government is ready to provide them with support and facilities, they must in turn fulfil their obligation to pay fair taxes.
The discussion, held at the Presidential Secretariat, focused on strategies to strengthen the nation's dollar reserves by boosting export earnings.
President Dissanayake explained that his administration is working to revive the economy through expansion rather than with artificial controls.
