Sri Lanka, Dec. 5 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced during a special statement in Parliament today that individuals who lost both their land and their home due to the adverse weather conditions will be granted a total of Rs.10 million.

This amount will be allocated as Rs.5 million for the land and Rs.5 million for the house.

The President also specified that even if a house has suffered minimal damage, the owners will be granted Rs.1 million for repairs.

For citizens living in disaster-affected areas, the government will provide Rs.25,000 for cleaning their homes.

This specific allowance is scheduled to be disbursed today and tomorrow.
