Sri Lanka, Feb. 21 -- Dr. Ananda Ratnayake, an oral surgeon at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, has highlighted the emergence of pre-oral cancer symptoms among school children. He made this statement during a press conference at the Health Promotion Bureau on February 19.
Dr. Ratnayake noted that Sri Lanka identifies between 2,000 and 3,000 new oral cancer cases each year, emphasizing the need for increased awareness and early detection, especially among younger populations.
