Sri Lanka, Feb. 9 -- The Ministry of Power and Energy announced that more than 80% of the electricity supply has been restored across the country.
According to the ministry, efforts are underway to restore electricity substations in areas including Battaramulla and Piliyandala, with full restoration expected shortly.
Power has already been restored in several areas, including Colombo city, Kolonnawa, Kelaniya, Katunayake, Matugama, and Kalutara. Essential facilities such as Colombo National Hospital, Ambatale Water Treatment Plant, Biyagama, and Sapugaskanda were given priority in the restoration process.
