Sri Lanka, March 25 -- Power supply to areas around Maha Ingiriya remains disrupted for the fourth day following a strong wind that damaged three high-voltage power poles in the Raigam Wattha area.
The collapse of power poles and falling trees caused blackouts in several areas including Ingiriya Colombo Road towards Hadapangoda, Maha Ingiriya, Raigam Wattha, Marekanda, Kuttiyawattha, Raigam Colony, Imagira, and Rambukkanagama.
Residents claim that CEB employees have been working to erect the damaged poles for four days without success.
Locals report that students preparing for the GCE O-Level examination are struggling to study, while self-employed individuals have been unable to continue their work.
