Sri Lanka, April 28 -- Today marks the third day of postal voting in the upcoming local council elections scheduled for May 6th.
The Election Commission has announced that government employees eligible for postal voting will have one more day, tomorrow, to cast their ballots by mail.
A total of 648,490 public sector employees are eligible to vote by post in these local council elections.
The postal voting process commenced on April 24 and continued on the 25.
Meanwhile, Rohana Hettiarachchi, the Executive Director of the People's Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL), stated that the President's recent comments regarding the allocation of funds to local authorities were inappropriate.
