Sri Lanka, April 29 -- Postal voting for the Local Government Elections concluded at 4 PM today (29).
Commissioner General of Elections Saman Sri Ratnayake confirmed that postal voting activities have now ended.
Ratnayake also clarified that individuals who did not cast their postal votes are not eligible to vote at polling stations on the Election Day.
This year, 648,495 people were eligible to cast postal votes for the Local Government Elections.
Meanwhile, PAFFREL praised the high voter turnout, noting that the participation rate was commendable.
On the first day alone, postal voting exceeded 60%, and the overall turnout remained high throughout the four-day period.
