Sri Lanka, April 17 -- Postal voting dates for the upcoming local government elections have been revised.

Voting, which was initially scheduled for April 22 and 23, has been postponed to April 24 and 25, according to the Election Commission.

However, the other two previously designated postal voting dates, April 28 and 29, will remain unchanged.

The Election Commission has also announced that 232,558 postal ballot papers will be issued for 112 local government bodies on April 21.

Previously, 187,345 postal ballot papers were issued for 113 local government bodies by April 7, and 211,904 postal ballot papers were issued for 105 local government bodies by April 10.
