Srilanka, Dec. 1 -- Our correspondent reports that the Polonnaruwa - Batticaloa main road, which was closed due to the adverse weather conditions, has now been reopened for traffic.

Vehicular movement on this road had been completely halted during the past few days due to the severe weather that affected the island.
