Sri Lanka, April 24 -- Police have decided to issue a special sticker to identify devotees queuing in Kandy for the public exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic, effective last night.

Meanwhile, police state that approximately 400,000 devotees are already in queues for today's (24) "Siri Dalada Vandana".

Police estimates indicate that these devotees are currently in Kandy city, waiting to worship the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Due to this significant congestion, police are requesting devotees to avoid travelling to Kandy for the pilgrimage tomorrow (24) and tomorrow (25).

Police have indicated that the public will be informed if the congestion eases.
