Sri Lanka, April 25 -- A committee has instructed the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) to nominate a police investigation team to assist in the ongoing inquiry concerning IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon.

The Parliamentary Communications Department has also released a statement confirming the appointment of Additional Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris and Deputy Solicitor General Rajitha Perera to assist the investigation committee on behalf of the Attorney General's Department.
