Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- Several senior and deputy police officers are expected to be transferred, with new appointments anticipated across key divisions and provinces, including Police Administration, Crime and Traffic, Recruitment and Training, as well as the Uva, Western, and North Central provinces.

Police sources say that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) will submit his recommendations to the National Police Commission (NPC) in the coming days.

A senior official from the Police Commission said that the commission has not yet received any recommendations but expects to get them soon.

The NPC is scheduled to meet on Thursday (4) to consider the IGP's proposals.
