Sri Lanka, Feb. 23 -- Bandarawela Police have taken custody of 123 live ammunitions discovered in a bag within the luggage compartment of a bus. The seizure followed a tip-off received by the police station.

The live ammunition was found in a small iron box inside a bag during a routine check of a bus traveling from Colombo to Badulla near the Bandarawela bus stand on the afternoon of February 22.

Among the seized ammunition, 113 were pistol rounds, nine were T-56 rounds, and one was for a light machine gun (LMG). A special investigation is underway by the Bandarawela Police to apprehend the suspect involved.
