Sri Lanka, Sept. 8 -- Sri Lankan police have launched an investigation after a man was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances inside his home in Mallagaswewa, within the Kobeigane police division, on Sunday evening (7).

The deceased has been identified as a 59-year-old resident of the area. He had been living alone and was unmarried, according to police sources.

The cause of death has not yet been established. The body remains under police protection at the scene, while further inquiries are being carried out by Kobeigane Police.
