Sri Lanka, April 25 -- Police have launched an investigation into a relative of a suspect in the murder of social activist Dan Priyasad.

Authorities have stated that further inquiries are underway to locate a father and son who are wanted in connection with the killing.

Meanwhile, politicians and other individuals gathered last night and this morning to pay their respects to the late Dan Priyasad.

Priyasad, a social activist and a local government candidate for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, was fatally shot by an unidentified gunman on the night of April 22.

In a significant development, police have arrested Dulan Madhusankha, also known as "Dula," believed to be the primary suspect in Dan Priyasad's murder.
