Sri Lanka, Sept. 6 -- Police have confirmed that 5 out of 20 samples taken from a large cache of chemicals discovered on a land plot in Middeniya contain a concentration of the drug 'ice'.

During a special media briefing today, a Police spokesperson stated that the chemicals were allegedly imported by an individual known as Kehelbaddara Padme.

A suspect connected to the land has also been arrested and handed over to the Western North Division for further investigation.
