Sri Lanka, May 14 -- Hatton Police conducted an inspection of both the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) and private buses operating long-distance services today (14).

During the inspection, legal action was taken against several SLTB and private bus drivers who were found to be operating vehicles with defects.

Additionally, Hatton Police reported that strict warnings were issued to a number of other drivers.

These inspections were carried out along the Hatton-Colombo main road, following the directives of Acting Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya.
