Sri Lanka, July 22 -- The Mount Lavinia Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau conducted a raid in the Polgasowita area of the Kahathuduwa Police Division yesterday (21), leading to the arrest of two suspects.

The arrests were made based on a tip-off.

Police seized 6 grams and 700 milligrams of heroin, and an additional 5 grams and 300 milligrams of heroin from the suspects.

Further investigations revealed that these individuals were involved in a series of three-wheeler robberies.

Their modus operandi involved hiring three-wheelers and then throwing chilli powder on the drivers' faces before committing the robbery.

In connection with these robberies, the wife of one of the suspects has also been arrested.
