Sri Lanka, Aug. 15 -- Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation Bimal Ratnayake has stated that increasing plantation workers' wages is a challenge for the government.

The Minister made the comments to the media during an inspection tour of the Hatton bus station.

He added that the Ministry of Plantation Industries and the Ministry of Finance are continuously engaged in interventions regarding the matter.
