Sri Lanka, April 19 -- As devotees continue to flock to Kandy for the Exposition of the Sacred Temple of the Tooth relic, the Sri Lanka Army is reiterating its plea for pilgrims to avoid bringing large luggage into the city.
While this request has been made previously, the Army, in its latest announcement, notes that it has not been sufficiently observed by those making the pilgrimage.
Furthermore, the Army wishes to remind all devotees that a heightened security program is currently in operation throughout the exposition period.
