Sri Lanka, Oct. 18 -- Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) conducted a sudden inspection of bakeries and restaurants in the Hatton town today (18 October) in light of the upcoming Deepavali festival.

The inspection was carried out with the aim of ensuring that clean food and beverages are provided to consumers visiting Hatton and that bakery products are manufactured hygienically during the festive season.

PHIs from the Ambagamuwa, Maskeliya, and Bogawanthalawa Medical Officer of Health (MOH) offices, with the assistance of the PHI from the Hatton-Dikoya Urban Council, conducted the inspection.
