Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- Showers will occur intermittently today in the Eastern, Uva, and Central provinces, as well as the Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts. The Department of Meteorology issued a statement noting that certain areas within the Uva and Eastern provinces, and the Hambantota, Matale, and Nuwara Eliya districts, might experience heavy falls exceeding 50 mm. Additionally, the Northern province and Anuradhapura district expect several rounds of rain throughout the day.
