Sri Lanka, March 5 -- A 34-year-old man has been arrested at Katunayake Airport by the Customs Narcotics Control Unit for smuggling over 5 kg of Kush worth Rs. 52 million.

The suspect arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, at around 1.00 am today (05). Upon inspection of his luggage, the drugs were found carefully concealed in food packets, according to Additional Director General of Customs and Media Spokesperson Seevali Arukgoda.

The suspect has been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
