Sri Lanka, June 19 -- The Parliamentary Inquiry Committee investigating suspended Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon and the Weligama W 15 Hotel shooting incident convened for its seventh day on June 18.

Nine witnesses were summoned, and significant new details emerged regarding the incident.

Police Sergeant Alwis Wijewickrama from the Highways Tourist Police Division provided crucial testimony.

He recounted finding the problematic vehicle near the Imaduwa exit, noting its broken window.
