Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- Several ministers and opposition members expressed their concerns in Parliament regarding the shooting death of organized crime figure Ganemulla Sanjeewa in the Aluthkade court complex this morning (19).
Ruling party organizer and Minister Nalinda Jayatissa emphasized that the government takes underworld activities seriously and has implemented various measures to address them. He highlighted the involvement of black money and drug trafficking and mentioned that some individuals directing these activities are based abroad. He assured that members of the security forces, the Special Task Force, police, and intelligence units are actively engaged in tackling these issues.
