Sri Lanka, June 18 -- The ruling party has agreed to hold a debate on the effects of the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict on Sri Lanka.

The motion was proposed by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and received support from over 20 opposition MPs.

Leader of the House, Bimal Ratnayake, confirmed readiness for the debate.

The speaker announced that the discussion will take place today from 3.30 to 5.30 pm.
