Sri Lanka, Jan. 24 -- Suspension of the Chief of Staff and Deputy Secretary General of Parliament, Senior Lawyer Chaminda Kularatne, took effect yesterday (23). Reports indicate that the decision follows a problematic situation and procedural concerns regarding the legality and potential irregularities of his appointment.
Kularatne, who has served in the position since September 15, 2023, is reportedly preparing to take legal action against the interdiction.
